douglas road expansion and beautification

Brooks and Amaden, Inc. is currently providing the City of Oldsmar full design, permitting, and final bid document services for the widening and beautification of an approximately 4,000 LF stretch of Douglas Road (Cypress Lakes Industrial Park). The project is for an existing rural roadway being converted to an urban design with curb and gutters. The design includes the addition of a center turn lane, landscaping, and an extension of the Pinellas Trail system.

Due to limited available right-of-way, extensive site accommodations are necessary to incorporate off site and on site drainage contributions, and the Firm has pursued innovative and aesthetic approaches to stormwater management to treat new impervious areas only while capturing runoff from 43 acres of offsite area using parallel swales.

Permitting through the Water Management District is via a modification to the existing State Street Outfall Project permit, requiring familiarity with this portion of the City’s existing drainage plan.
